Wow! Well-written, well thought-out, and completely appropriate. “To thine own self be true,” and in today’s world that’s an especially important message to remember. I’m a Baby Boomer, and was around during the (for men) confusing times of the early Feminist Movement. But I learned in high school something fundamental: treat women with the same respect, dignity, and maturity you demand (or should demand) for yourself; do not treat them as satellites but as co-equal partners; and make sure that in spite of all of Life’s seriousness the two of you have FUN together.

It worked for me then, and it’s working for me now.
