When she was writing her post-2016 book, “What Happened?”, her husband asked what the title was. She told him. He replied, “You lost!” Yes, she did. The “limousine liberal” coterie of Hillary’s supporters had their comeuppance because they did nothing substantive to support Bernie Sanders.

Today, Bernie is viewed by many ageists as “too old,” and some view his recent heart attack as proof of his alleged infirmity. However, I’d take his consistent high-energy, high-intellect approach any day over the angry demeanor of Elizabeth Warren.

Most importantly — and you made this point beautifully — Clinton’s own narcissism and need for vindication would be fatally harmful to this country. Superficially, she would be an improvement over Trump, but she would induce such virulence on the part of Trump’s base that we would likely face mass incidents of violence from the “anti-Hillary” crowd.

I would argue that she is past her time. Clinton’s window for electability closed in 2016, and today we need a vastly different type of candidate, one with actual principles and personal integrity. I put my time and money into the Kamala Harris campaign, but it looks like her ship is sinking, so I will now support Bernie — as I did in 2016 — and work to help him get the nomination.
