The fundamental flaw in human interactions has been how power has been acquired and used. Male-female, white-versus every other non-white race or ethnicity, educated-uneducated, connected-unconnected, straight-gay, “our religion” versus “your religion,” have all been the provinces of exploitation, manipulation, and cruel degradation of our fellow humans. These have been the tangible manifestations of the workings of the “reptilian brain,” which may have had some survival value millions of years ago, but which now threatens us with the workings of the 6th Mass Extinction.

We have marvelous technological capabilities — -but they are tantamount to giving a loaded assault rifle into the hands of an energetic five-year-old.

For those of us with souls and a desire to save this world from ourselves, there are plenty of things to do….
